great sound in a small box
The sound from this Sony boombox is as good as you’re going to get for the price. It’s a good way to keep your iPod charged. It carries nicely and looks good besides.

No bass
This item is nice, but the sound quality is not good. The iPod player I paid $27 for sounds the same.

nice product
Bought this for my daughter, but didn’t work with her ipod,(her ipod was later found to be defective)and gave it to my husband who loved it.

Good value, a little boxy sounding
I bought this unit for my mother for Christmas to replace an older, failing Magnavox boom box. I read several reviews about this comparing it with other similarly priced models…

NO BASS! Horrible Sound!
I was very disappointed with this product. The sound did not have ANY bass even though it has a bass booster.

Nice birthday gift for an 11 year old
My daughter received this gift for her 11th birthday and it meshes with her IPod very well. She likes the fact that it recharges the IPod while it is playing. Good gift.

Good not great
Purchased this to mainly play the ipod through the speakers. Easy enough to set up as the tray on the front slides out to expose a dock for the ipod.

Does not work with iPhone 3G…
Unless you turn on airplane mode, which means you can’t use your phone or wifi. If yu don’t turn on airplane mode it will add many intrusive sounds to your music and videos…

haven’t used it outside yet, but the sound indoors is great. have used all components - radio (reception is great), ipod dock, and cd player.
